Scouts/Guides - Sindhi High School, Hebbal
SCOUTS
For the first time in the History of school, we started a scout troop called the “Sindhian Scouts" on the 12th November 2006 with an enrollment of 40 dedicated children under the age group of 10 to 16. The children were divided into 4 different Patrol’s called the Cheetah’s, Leapord’s, Jaguar’s and Panther’s under the able troop leader Chinmaya of Class 7. The children were taught about the History of Scouting. Bharat scouts and guides Flag song, Prayer song, Motto, Law and the Promise were conducted in the school campus every Saturday.
Our scouting boys were even taught with the Band and their response was overwhelming. Today we have “Baden Powell” scout Band in the School
GUIDES
Friendliness and happiness is important for a guide. There are nine guide laws, some are
1. A Guide is trustworthy
2. A Guide is loyal
A Guide is a friend to all and sister to every other guide. We have the three finger salute. The finger symbolizes helping other people, developing our country and serving god. The left hand shake is done because the left hand is closer to the heart. Our guides uniform is a white salwar kameez and navy blue dupatta and a scarf.
