THEATRE CLUB
The dramatic / theatre club was kick-started with some basic breathing and vocal exercise. This helped the students to hold their breath, modulate their voice and deliver dialogues effectively. The elements of facial expression, body language and movements of the artists along with the protagonist were also stressed upon.
Some of the famous tales of Shakespeare’s like the Tempest, Macbeth and the Taming of the shrew were selected for enactment. Selected scenes were enacted in groups and the other group judged the performance. Thus a better learning environment was created and the response was indeed positive.
